Framer/Carpenter

Position Overview The Carpenter is responsible for performing advanced techniques in various areas of construction trades responding to emergency and non-emergency service jobs.

Responsibilities include maintaining a fully stocked and prepared company vehicle to drive to work sites, preparing, maintaining and cleaning work areas, and performing repairs per the scope of work and project manager direction.

Responsibilities The Carpenter will perform the following duties along with any additional duties as assigned bymanagement per business needs.

Proficiency in light carpentry, framing, drywall, paint, trim and all aspects of repair that is common with handyman workPrepare rooms / areas for work activities to include setting up staging areas, equipment and content protectionAbility to provide direction to subcontractorsMaintain clean and organized work areas to include securely storing equipment and supplies while not in useInterface with customers and relay information to Project Manager or Superintendent when appropriateComplete paperwork, upload documents, and provide job updates into database as neededComplete punch list items with attention to detail Maintain equipment in clean and working conditionEnsure the company vehicle is fully stocked at all times and travel to a nearby home improvement store to purchase needed itemsMonitor the safety, security, efficiency, and appearance of the company vehicleMonitor the safety, security and appearance of job sitesAssist with demolition and general clean up as needed Qualifications Minimum 5 years of experience in construction and / or restoration.Hands on experience in drywall, paint, trim and light carpentry.High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.Understanding of major trades processes (mechanical, electrical, plumbing).Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness.Willingness to be flexible based on business needs.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Thorough understanding of the correct and safe operation of all related tools and equipment.Proficient use of computer technology.Proficiency in light carpentry, framing, drywall, paint, trim and all aspects of repair that is common with handyman work.Ability to work effectively in a team environment and build relationships.Eligible to operate a vehicle per company policy.
