Are you an experienced diesel or automotive technician looking for a stable career, competitive pay, and opportunities to grow? MTM Transit is seeking a Fleet Maintenance Technician A to join our team in Stuart, Florida.

Pay Range: $36.00 - $40.00 per hour, based on experience

What You'll Do

As a Fleet Maintenance Technician A, you will:


* Perform preventative maintenance, diagnostics, repairs, and inspections on transit vehicles


* Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and HVAC systems


* Service automotive, light-duty truck, and heavy-duty transit bus powertrains


* Diagnose and repair chassis, suspension, brake, and drivability concerns


* Complete electronic work orders accurately and timely


* Assist with maintaining shop equipment, vehicle lifts, pumps, and facility systems


* Support general maintenance of the facility and grounds


* Follow all company safety procedures and maintenance standards


* Perform other duties as assigned

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications



* High school diploma or GED


* At least 21 years of age


* Must possess a valid Florida Class A or B CDL with passenger endorsement without air brake restriction


* Must have a minimum of 3 years driving history


* No DWI/DUI charges


* No more than 1 moving violation in the last 3 years


* No accidents or point violations within the last 3 years


* Minimum 4 years of automotive or truck repair experience, or equivalent automotive technical training


* Ability to pass a DOT physical, pre-employment drug screening, background check, and motor vehicle record review


* Authorization to work in the United States

Technical Skills & Experience



* Experience with vehicle diagnostics, electrical troubleshooting, and repair


* Knowledge of automotive, truck, and heavy-duty transit vehicle systems


* Ability to use hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and testing instruments


* AC609 Certification, or ability to obtain
