Assistant Coach - Baseball (VOL)

General Job Brief: Under the direct supervision of the Head Baseball Coach, the Assistant Baseball Coach - Volunteer assists in the leadership of the baseball program.

This role also requires a comprehensive understanding of and commitment to the unique Christianmission and vision of ACU to Transform Culture with Truth, and the ability to advance that mission andvision through the performance of its duties, including person-to-person mentorship and discipleship.

Duties, Tasks, Responsibilities Assists the Head Coach as directed in the following areas: Day-to-day operations of the baseball programRecruitment to meet roster goals as set by the athletics departmentPractice and training preparationGame day preparation and schedulingAcademic accountabilityCommunity serviceIntentional Christian faith integrationPerforms other duties as assigned Other Duties and Responsibilities Completing other duties and tasks with utmost integrity and professionalism, as directed, and not necessarily mentioned in this description, will be expected.Commitment to the Universitys faith statement, mission, and purposes; and an active Christian faith.

Comfort and familiarity with the practice of praying with and for others, including students, faculty, and fellow University staff.

The ability to meaningfully support and encourage students, faculty, and staff from a biblical worldview perspective, using relevant and applicable references from the Old and New Testaments and orthodox Christian writings.Demonstrated alignment with and enthusiastic support for the Christian Mission and Core Commitments of the University, including signing the University's Statement of Faith and Core Commitments annually.

Education and Experience: Bachelors degree (Masters preferred) Demonstrated connection to the Christian Mission and Core Commitments of the University Working Conditions: General baseball environment Office hours to accomplish administrative tasks Meeting with student-athletes as needed Travel to competition and recruitment as needed Time Required: Standard college baseball calendar for in-season and out-of-season Fair Labor Standards Act: This position is a volunteer position.
