Software Engineer II - Network Test Engineer

Location (Hybrid): Sunnyvale, CA

We are seeking a Software Test Engineer to join our Networking & IP Services team.

In this role, you will work closely with Product Management, Software Engineering, and Hardware Engineering teams to validate next-generation networking platforms and software.

You will develop test strategies, automate complex networking test scenarios, troubleshoot software and hardware issues, and help deliver high-quality networking products.

What You'll Do


* Collaborate with Product Management, Software Engineering, and Hardware teams to review product requirements and technical designs.


* Develop comprehensive functional, system, and regression test plans for networking software and platforms.


* Execute manual and automated test cases to validate functionality, scalability, reliability, and performance.


* Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks using Python


* Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines to improve product quality and release efficiency.


* Identify, reproduce, troubleshoot, and document software and hardware defects.


* Partner with development teams to isolate root causes and verify fixes.


* Validate Layer 2/Layer 3 networking features, routing protocols, and network services.


* Perform hardware qualification and validation testing for new networking platforms.


* Contribute to continuous improvements in testing processes, automation, and product quality.
