* Minimum of 5 years of electrical experience in a manufacturing environment performing machine maintenance and repair.

Howmet Fastening Systems is looking for an Electrician in our Maintenance department.

This role is responsible for performing electrical maintenance and repair of all production and facility equipment.

Interface with subcontractors in the repair of production and facility equipment.

Specify and order required repair parts and supplies.

Assure a safe work environment.

This position will be based in our Waco, TX plant.

Responsibilities:


* Must be able to read and interpret blueprints.


* Must have knowledge of shop mathematics and OHM's law.


* Must be able to use electrical test equipment such as ammeters, voltmeters, ohmmeters, etc.


* Must be able to identify components in manufacturers and parts manuals


* Must be able to make sketches of circuitry for troubleshooting.


* Must know and comply with the National Electrical Code and other applicable codes.


* Installs, maintains and repairs all AC, DC and single or 3 phase electrical components, motors, starters, and related equipment on all types of equipment or buildings.


* Plans and lays out work as necessary.


* Must keep work area clean and orderly.


* Must wear safety equipment provided and work safely at all times.


* Troubleshoot and repair complex problems with variable frequency AC and DC motor drives where OEM technical support was typically called in before.

Must have mechanical aptitude, ability, and 5 years minimum experience or equivalent in an industrial environment.


* Troubleshoot and repair complex problems with programmable logic controllers and peripheral systems and equipment requiring onsite OEM technical support in the past.


* Maintain revised, updated and new plant and equipment electrical drawings using AutoCad.


* Must be able to disassemble damaged or worn equipment/units, repairing/replacing defective components, reassembles and tests for proper operation.
