As a Commercial Credit Intern at our Lansing - Abbot Rd.

office, you will join a team of passionate problem solvers dedicated to protecting Independent Bank capital while serving the needs of our internal and external clients.

In this full-time summer opportunity, you will work closely with Credit Analysts and gain hands-on experience with financial statement spreading, borrowing bases, commercial loan underwriting, and credit analysis.

What You Will Do:


* Review credit information to assist in evaluating commercial loan requests.


* Assist with financial statement spreading, borrowing bases, and commercial loan underwriting.


* Analyze personal and corporate tax returns, financial statements, and cash flow information to identify potential risks.


* Assist with monitoring the commercial credit portfolio.


* Analyze various sources of financial information to support credit decisions.

What We're Looking For:


* Basic understanding of accounting and finance.


* Strong communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.


* Experience with Microsoft Product Suites.


* Must be currently enrolled in a relevant field of study.
