Consulting Associate, Scientist

ERM is seeking a motivated Consulting Associate, Scientist to join our growing office in Minneapolis, MN.
In this early-career role, you will contribute to environmental assessment, permitting, compliance, ecological field work, and site investigation and remediation projects while gaining hands-on consulting experience alongside experienced professionals.

As a Consulting Associate, Scientist, you will support projects that help clients understand environmental conditions, navigate regulatory requirements, assess potential impacts, and advance development projects.
You will have exposure to a variety of environmental disciplines and sectors, including oil and gas, power generation, electrical transmission, renewable/alternative energy, and Brownfields projects.
What Your Impact Is:
You will assist Project Managers on a variety of projects, potentially in the areas of environmental impact assessment, EHS permitting and compliance, and site investigation and remediation.
You will contribute through biological field surveys, data analysis, technical report preparation, permitting support, environmental sampling, and other project delivery activities.
What You'll Bring:
Required
* BS in environmental science, natural science, or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
Minimum 3.0 GPA.
* Less than 1 year of relevant environmental experience or professional internship experience.
* Strong commitment to safety.
* Effective written and verbal communication and strong organizational and analytical skills, including experience recording and writing detailed technical data and reports.
* Ability to multi-task, maintain flexibility, travel, and work independently with minimal supervision.
* Demonstrated attributes to become a strong consultant, including being a team player, eagerness to learn and grow, taking initiative, versatility, and a service-oriented mentality.
* Ability to succeed in a fast-paced consulting environment, manage time effectively, handle multiple project assignments, meet strict deadlines, and travel to diverse project locations.
* Driver's License Required: This position requires a valid driver's license and/or the ability to operate a company vehicle due to the nature of job duties, which include frequent travel to various client locations across a large geographical area.
