COMSEC Specialist

Tharros supports the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) with cybersecurity services across its Intelligence Enterprise.

In support of this mission, we have an immediate opportunity for a COMSEC Specialist.

In this role you will provide technical and subject matter expert support to the COMSEC Manager for secure telephones and secure mobile devices deployed to Federal, state, local, tribal, territorial, and private-sector partner sites nationwide.

You will provision and troubleshoot equipment, maintain full accountability, conduct inspections, and train users.

This position is based on-site in Washington, DC, with CONUS travel.

Duties include but not limited to: Provision, deploy, retrieve, upgrade, test, and troubleshoot COMSEC equipment on active accounts.

Maintain 100% accountability of secure communications assets with current hand receipts.

Conduct quarterly spot checks, semi-annual inspections, and annual COMSEC inspections.

Travel to deployed sites to assess equipment accountability, functionality, and responsibility assignments.

Train COMSEC customers on the appropriate use of equipment.

Provide monthly COMSEC status reports and user training metrics.
