Customs Brokerage Entry Writer/Customs Brokerage Specialist Green Worldwide is launching an exciting new dedicated Entry Team, bringing together skilled customs entry writers and customs brokerage professionals who are passionate about accuracy, compliance, and service excellence.
This specialized team will play a key role in supporting Greens nationwide operations by delivering consistent, efficient, and high-quality customs entry processing across branches.
How you will be successful.
Follow the Process: adhere to Greens established customs brokerage processes and client-specific SOPs.Collaborate with your Entry Team and with Greens import operations personnel to ensure all entries are timely and accurate and the grid remains green.Research and problem-solve with entry teammates and managers regarding classification, valuation, tariff applicability, free trade agreement eligibility, partner government agency requirements and their input into Cargo Wise declarations.Monitor individual work while providing support to ensure high performance amongst the entire team.Research errors, inaccuracies and delays to identify root causes and, when needed, work with management to fix such errors proactively.Maintain SOP based on management guidance and continuously analyze for improvement and clarity.Completion of entry from start to finish and willingness to work within an automated and technology-forward environment.Address and resolve client issues and concerns promptly and effectively.Participation in local customs brokerage associations, including attendance at seminars, Customs round-tables, port days, etc.Engagement in professional development and learning.
Key Competencies: Prepare and submit accurate Customs entries and documentation.Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and laws, including tariffs, trade agreements, and import/export restrictions.Stay updated on changes in regulations.Ability to file multiple entry types and aptitude to learn to bridge expertise gaps.Engage in innovative solutions to streamline operations.Proactively identify potential issues and opportunities and present solutions.Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including government agencies and Customs officials.
Work Environment: Office setting.Required to work weekends on a schedule (twice a year) and some holidays.
