HVAC Technician I

The HVAC Technician I is an entry level position who assists with inspecting and maintaining all HVAC equipment and systems in the facility, by furnishing the HVAC technicians with tools, materials, and supplies.

They should have a strong working knowledge of HVAC systems as well as the tools related to the installation, maintenance, and repair of these systems.

Responsibilities and Duties Follow instructions and provide the necessary support to senior technicians Participate in routine inspections of buildings and equipment, and learn how to identify and diagnose issuesSubmit and complete work orders accurately and effectivelyAssist with preventive maintenance on equipment to minimize downtime and complete emergency repairs promptly and efficientlyAssist with installation, maintenance and repair of ventilation and air conditioning systems and equipmentOperate a variety of hand and power tools needed for HVAC installationKeep logs and records of all maintenance functionsEnsure all tools, materials, and equipment are properly stored and in good working orderAccommodate a flexible schedule and respond to issues or problems rapidlyComplete assigned tasks within the established timeframes and specificationsCompliant with Company SOPs, and state and federal regulationsMaintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring tools and equipment are properly storedFollow applicable safety procedures by wearing appropriate PPE, and reporting injuries, near misses, and hazards to managementBehave in a manner that is positive, productive, cooperative, and encourages teamworkPerforms other duties as assigned Qualifications and Skills Must be at least 21 years of ageHigh school diploma or GED required0-1 years of working experience in HVAC fieldFamiliarity with all tools and equipment necessary for HVAC maintenance and installationUnderstanding electrical, HVAC, plumbing and carpentryAdaptable, proactive, and willing to work weekends and extended hours as neededMust have reliable transportationMust be able to pass a background check in accordance with state regulations Competencies Attendance & PunctualityDependability & FlexibilityPositive, Productive, Cooperative, and Encourages TeamworkInterpersonal CommunicationResults Focused Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, and perform manual tasks for extended periods of time (8+ hours)Ability to lift/push/carry items up to 50lbsAbility to climb a ladder, kneel, stoop, and bend at the waist regularlyManual dexterity for handling tools and performing equipment maintenance.Visual acuity is needed to accurately read small screens and fine print Workplace Environment Indoor and outdoor maintenance settings, with exposure to mechanical parts and seasonal temperature changesExposure to high places, toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock, and loud noisesConsistent moderate background noise level due to machinery and HVACExposure to cannabis odor and plant resins (PPE provided)Moderate heat and ...
