Education-


* Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Production, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline.



* MBA / PGDM in Operations Management or Supply Chain Management preferred.

Job Purpose

To lead and manage end-to-end Production Planning & Control functions for the plant by ensuring optimum production scheduling, resource utilization, inventory management, customer delivery performance, and cross-functional coordination.

The role is responsible for aligning manufacturing operations with customer demand, business objectives, and operational excellence initiatives while ensuring inventory optimization and supply chain efficiency.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

Production Planning & Scheduling


* Develop annual, monthly, weekly, and daily production plans based on sales forecasts and customer requirements.


* Ensure optimum machine loading and capacity utilization across manufacturing departments.


* Monitor production adherence against plan and take corrective actions to address deviations.


* Balance demand and capacity to achieve desired service levels and manufacturing efficiency.

Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP)


* Lead S&OP reviews with Sales, Marketing, Procurement, Production, and Finance teams.


* Ensure effective demand planning and conversion into executable production plans.


* Identify constraints and recommend mitigation plans.

Inventory Management


* Drive inventory optimization of Raw Materials, WIP, Bought-out Components, and Finished Goods.


* Establish inventory norms and monitor compliance.


* Reduce excess, obsolete, and slow-moving inventory.


* Ensure uninterrupted material availability for production.

Customer Delivery Management


* Ensure achievement of OTIF (On-Time In-Full) delivery targets.


* Monitor customer order fulfillment and dispatch schedules.


* Coordinate with logistics and supply chain teams for timely deliveries.

Material Planning & Procurement Coordination


* Collaborate with Procurement and Supply Chain teams to ensure availability of materials and components.


* Review material shortages and expedite critical supplies.


* Manage risk associated with supply disruptions.

Capacity & Resource Planning


* Conduct capacity analysis and identify bottlenecks.
