Role Summary The Estimator 1 supports UIGs acquisition of profitable heavy civil transportation work by developing accurate, traceable quantities and cost information for assigned bid scopes.

The role builds practical understanding of roadway, bridge, grading, drainage, structures, concrete, traffic control, and related infrastructure work while learning how field means and methods translate into labor, equipment, material, subcontract, schedule, and risk assumptions.

Role Purpose The Estimator 1 exists to create dependable estimate inputs and organized bid documentation that allow more experienced estimators and Preconstruction leaders to make informed pricing and pursuit decisions.

The role strengthens bid accuracy by performing disciplined document review, quantity takeoffs, quote solicitation, cost build-up, and estimate handoff work under defined guidance.
