Job Summary

Primarily responsible for managing the financial accounting function, concerning the accuracy and maintenance of the ledger accounts and resultant financial statements.

Key Responsibilities

1.

Assists in budget preparation.
2.

Assists with audit and year end closing.
3.

Prepares and files sales and use tax returns.
4.

Prepares and records monthly closing journal entries.
5.

Prepares monthly group financial statements.
6.

Prepares operational reconciliation statement.
7.

Prepares weekly and monthly labor and equipment reports for operations.
8.

Processes transactions for fixed assets (journal entries and book/tax depreciations).
9.

Reconciles asset and liability ledger accounts.

Minimum Job Requirements

1.

2+ years construction accounting experience; knowledge of profit recognition for contractors .
2.

Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles .
3.

Strong analytical skills with respect to financial data .
4.

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting .

5.

CPA designation, or CPA eligible preferred.

CCIFP designation is a plus.

6.

Proficient use of all Microsoft Office Suite programs .

Will sit, stand or walk short distances for up to the entire duration of a shift/work day.
7.

Will use telephone, computer system, email, and other electronic devices on a frequent basis to communicate with internal and external customers or vendors
