Service Advisor

The Logistics Assistant is responsible for assisting Sales Account Manager, Marina Manager, and Logistics Manager with the communication, paperwork and follow up regarding customer arrivals.

This may include, but not limited to, collecting, and ensuring proper insurance paperwork is provided, obtaining signed Boat Handling Agreements, obtaining contractor work lists and communicating with Sales and Property Account Managers prior to vessels arrival.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Work closely with Sales Account Manager to obtain signed dockage agreements and proper insurance documentation from vessel contact prior to arrival.

Following up with communication and requests to vessel contact until proper insurance and signed agreements are obtained.

Uploading documents and information into system.

Confirm in water and out of water resources with Marina Manager and Logistics Manager ensuring availability for dates of vessels arrival and communicating confirmations to vessel contact.

Ascertain whether work and contractor list has been obtained and upload into CRM.

Inform Account Manager of needs for work and contractor list.

Assign Account Manager Vessels without any work being performed and it Wet slip get assigned to the Marina Manager.

Vessels with Safe Harbor Service or extensive re-fit projects get assigned to Account Manager with Project Management Experience.

Other vessels get assigned equally amongst remaining Account Managers Ensuring proper handoff of vessel from logistics to Property Account Manager prior to vessel arrival.

Developing and maintaining effective and friendly working relationships with staff, members, guests and dealing with conflict effectively, courteously, and tactfully Responding to member questions and needs via phone, email and in person Providing excellent customer service Dealing with conflict effectively, courteously, and tactfully Routine administrative tasks Provide information on marina products and services Available to work overtime when required Other duties as assigned by Manager Safety and Environmental Responsibilities Follow SHM Safety and Environmental rules and complete required related training Wear proper personal protective equipment as required for the task or work area Report all accidents, injuries, spills and near misses immediately Technical and Physical Requirements High school diploma or equivalent preferred Prior marina experience preferred Previous customer service experience preferred Proficient in Microsoft Office Ability to sit for long periods of time Ability to lift 10 pounds Minimum Soft Skills Qualifications Eagerness to engage in a growing, fast paced, and industry-leading companyConsistently treats others with dignity and respectGenuinely serves others with humility and a positive attitudeFrequently demonstrates a bias toward actionAlways communicates effectively and courteously to establish strong networks internally and externally to ensure that decisions are thoughtful of a...
