Lead Electrical Field Engineer

POSITION SUMMARY / PURPOSE The Lead Electrical Field Engineer is responsible for ensuring that all electrical engineering activities performed by the EPC and OEM meet the technical, code, contractual, and operational requirements of the HCR Power Block.

As a key member of the owners team, this role provides practical supportive oversight of the implementation of electrical in the Kiewit Standard Design.

Including coordination, collaboration, evaluation, and technical risk management, ensuring that electrical engineering deliverables support safe, high-quality, and constructible execution.

JOB DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES Development and implementation of programs for the control of: spares, consumables, outstanding work, and efficiencies lists, etc.

Support the implementation of a coordinated operations control program ensuring good communication and the smooth execution of operational activities.

Ensure completion of thorough system walk downs / reviews to establish the completion status of systems and identify outstanding items to be completed Proper participation in the project system of document management ensuring all documents are filed and handled appropriately Execution of steps and programs to ensure all work is executed in a safe manner consistent with site safety policies (lockout tag out procedure, permit to work procedure, etc).

Ensure compliance with all NERC / SERC / CIP regulatory requirements Ensure compliance with all environmental permit limits, code requirements, and support regulatory reporting requirements.

Support the satisfaction of all final acceptance contractual requirements (training, as builts, manual updates, etc).

Maintain proper documentation as required to protect the interests of HCR.

Verify electrical systems installed per design.

Verify electrical system loads are per design.

Perform field electrical engineering changes.

Record as built engineering changes on drawings.

Test generator, AVR, and synchronization equipment.

Perform complex relay testing.

Supervise electrical equipment testing.

In conjunction with the Tech.

Foreman, coordinate I&C Technician activities.

Perform system functional testing from DCS.

Verify plant electrical interlock systems.

Perform switching operation from high and medium voltage switch gear.

Experience and Education Bachelors degree in Engineering (Electrical, Civil, Mechanical, or related discipline); minimum 7 years of experience in electrical engineering oversight or management roles on large infrastructure or energy projects.

Experience with combined cycle gas projects, substations, and switch yards.

Strong background in design coordination, technical review, and field integration.
