Urgency Room Medical Assistants play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care as part of a multidisciplinary clinical team.

This position is responsible for supporting patient assessment, treatment, procedures, education, and care coordination while working collaboratively with physicians, advanced practice clinicians (APCs), registered nurses, paramedics, and other healthcare professionals.

The ultimate goal of this role is to provide safe, efficient, and patient-centered care while contributing to a seamless clinical experience.

By anticipating patient and provider needs, maintaining accurate documentation, and supporting clinic operations, the Medical Assistant helps ensure positive patient outcomes and operational excellence.

We are seeking applicants for our locations in Woodbury, Golden Valley, Eagan, and Vadnais Heights.

The main job tasks include: Assist providers and healthcare team members with patient assessments, treatments, procedures, and patient education within role competency and scopePrepare and assist patients who are sick or injured for examinations, treatments, and proceduresObtain and document vital signs, medical histories, and other pertinent patient information in the electronic medical recordCommunicate changes in patient condition or relevant information to providers, registered nurses, paramedics, and other designated clinical team membersMaintain accurate and timely clinical and administrative documentationEnsure treatment and examination rooms remain clean, organized, stocked, and patient readyFollow established clinic policies, infection prevention practices, PPE requirements, and safety standardsWork collaboratively with providers, nurses, paramedics, and operational team members to support safe and efficient patient carePerform administrative and operational tasks to support clinic workflows and patient care deliveryRespond appropriately to emergency situations consistent with training, competency, and assigned responsibilitiesAdapt to changing patient volumes, priorities, and operational needs in a fast-paced acute ambulatory care environment Schedule Work hours are based on clinic staffing and operational needs and may include a mixture of day, evening, weekend, and holiday shifts.

Shift lengths may vary based on patient volumes and clinic requirements.

Travel to other Urgency Room locations may be required for training, meetings, and operational support.
