Occupational Therapist (OT)

Position Summary The Occupational Therapist (OT) is responsible for providing high-quality evaluations, treatment, and support to individuals receiving occupational therapy services through Loveland Center Inc.

This role develops individualized Plans of Care, monitors progress, maintains required documentation, and provides clinical supervision to Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs).

The Occupational Therapist promotes independence, daily living skills, and participation in meaningful activities across outpatient clinics, Adult Day Training programs, and home health settings, while always upholding Loveland Center Inc.'s mission, values, and professional standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities The essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following: Fully adhere to Loveland Center's Code of Ethics and Unifying Values Maintain professional standards of the highest quality regarding health, safety, service delivery, confidentiality, and public relations Acquire and maintain a proficient level of technological skills as applied to job requirements and industry standards Complete occupational therapy evaluations and intakes to identify each individual's abilities, needs, and treatment priorities Develop and implement individualized Plans of Care with measurable goals that support functional independence and daily living skills Provide skilled occupational therapy services appropriate to each individual's diagnosis, abilities, and treatment goals Monitor progress and update treatment methods and Plans of Care to address changing needs Maintain accurate and timely records of evaluations, treatment sessions, progress, and discharge recommendations in accordance with organizational guidelines and applicable documentation requirements Monitor Plan of Care deadlines and complete required reviews and updates within established 90-day timelines, or sooner when required Supervise assigned COTAs, assign cases, and review and sign treatment documentation and Plans of Care within the Occupational Therapist's scope of responsibility Provide treatment coverage during COTA vacations, paid time off, and other absences Collaborate with individuals served, families, physicians, caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members to support consistent and effective treatment Provide instruction to individuals served and caregivers on techniques and activities that support continued progress outside of treatment sessions Report service needs, operational concerns, and treatment barriers to the Clinical Services Coordinator and participate in reviewing department metrics Attend in-service programs and staff meetings as required for effective planning and service delivery Participate in required training and continuing education to maintain professional licensure and position-specific certifications Maintain treatment equipment and supplies in safe and good working condition Perform other related duties within the position's professiona...
