Dishwasher - Temporary

This position is eligible for Paid Sick and Safe Time (PSST) under the Healthy Families and Workplaces Act.

Pay Range DOE: $16.00/hour

Work Schedule: Friday 3pm -9pm; Saturday 5pm - 9pm; Sunday 8am - 3pm

JOB SUMMARY:

The dishwasher will assist with maintaining a clean, safe, and organized kitchen environment.

Responsibilities include washing dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans, operating dishwashing equipment, maintaining cleanliness of kitchen work areas, and supporting the kitchen team as needed.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Dishwashing:


* Loading and unloading dishwashers. 


* Washing glassware, dishes, utensils, and cookware, both by hand and in the dishwasher.


* Sorting and stacking clean dishes and utensils.


* Ensuring all items are sanitized and ready for use.


* Maintaining a Clean and Organized Dish Area:
+ Keeping the dish area free of clutter and debris.
+ Cleaning and sanitizing storage areas, including freezers and refrigerators.


* Maintaining clean and dry floors throughout the shift.      

 

Assisting with Other Kitchen Tasks:


* Emptying trash cans.


* Cleaning and sanitizing kitchen equipment and surfaces.


* Assisting with food preparation and other tasks as requested.


* Restocking supplies in the kitchen.


* Sweeping and mopping floors in the kitchen area.


* Gathering soiled linens from tables.    

 

Following Safety and Sanitation Procedures:


* Adhering to food health and safety regulations. 


* Following sanitation and cleaning procedures diligently. 


* Ensuring dishwashers are functioning properly and reporting any issues.

Education:


* A High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

 

Experience:


*  Previous experience as a dishwasher is preferred.

 

Other:


* Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 20 pounds.
