Position Summary

Hayward Gardens Post Acute is seeking a dependable and hardworking Housekeeper to join our Environmental Services team.

The Housekeeper will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for our residents, staff, and visitors.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities


* Clean and disinfect resident rooms, common areas, offices, restrooms, and other facility areas.


* Follow established cleaning and infection-control procedures.


* Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and sanitize surfaces.


* Properly handle and dispose of waste and soiled materials.


* Maintain cleanliness and organization of housekeeping supplies and equipment.


* Respond promptly to cleaning requests and spills.


* Report maintenance or safety concerns to the appropriate supervisor.


* Maintain a professional and respectful attitude toward residents, families, and staff.


* Perform other housekeeping duties as assigned.

Qualifications


* Previous housekeeping experience preferred, preferably in a healthcare or skilled nursing setting.


* Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.


* Strong attention to detail and cleanliness.


* Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently.


* Ability to work effectively as part of a team.


* Must be able to safely perform the physical requirements of the position.
