Prepare work area, equipment and instruments for each patient including chair turnover and proper sterilizationPrepare the daily schedule including review of medical history, need of consents, and financial arrangementsGreet patient, prepare them for treatment and assist in making them comfortable during proceduresMonitor nitrous oxide and oxygen under dentist supervision.Assist dentist with procedures by passing instruments from the tray to the dentist and suctioning patientsCarry out and assist with behavior management techniques as recommended by First ImpressionsDiscuss Pre Op and Post Op instructions as well as full details of the procedure with guardian before, during and after the appointmentEnter accurate and thorough clinical notes and transaction codes for each procedure into the computer system; Ascend and DolphinAssist the dentist with Thank You cards, doctor referrals and treatment complete lettersTake impressions for space maintainers, mouth guards and other appliancesPour and trim models and fabricate appliances when neededComplete lab slips and send appliances out to be madeAssist with all other orthodontic procedures as neededTake panoramic, cephalometric, bitewings and periapical x-raysMaintain a clean and organized work areaReview and send treatment information to insurance carriersBe able to perform the duties as outlined in the Pedo Prophy Assistant job descriptionPerform weekly/monthly lab cleaning, maintenance of autoclaves, statims and any other equipment and hand piecesInventory and stock supplies as neededProvide coverage in other areas as needed including, but not limited to, the Hospital settingOther duties as assigned Work Schedule: Mon - Thurs; 7:30 am - 5:00 pm | Fri; 7:30 am - 1:30 pm Position Type: Full time Location(s): Appleton & Oshkosh
