The Opportunity

Due to continued growth, our Digital Services team is currently seeking two IoT (Internet of Things) Engineers to join us in Sydney.

This exciting new career opportunity will see you responsible for the design, commissioning, provisioning, configuration and integration of on-premises and cloud-enabled solutions, together with end-to-end testing, technical documentation and cybersecurity checks.

Reporting to the Digital (IoT) Operations Manager, you will take ownership of assigned technical scope from project handover through commissioning and closure.

You will work with our Pacific Zone Projects and Services teams, Customers, Service Representatives and regional Connected Services Hub teams to deliver reliable digital infrastructure and application outcomes.

Key Responsibilities



* Own and deliver the technical scope of Digital Services projects, ensuring quality, cost, and schedule objectives are achieved.


* Commission, deploy, configure, integrate, test, and hand over Schneider Electric Digital Services solutions, including IoT hardware, software platforms, and cloud-enabled technologies within customer IT and OT environments.


* Provision and integrate Schneider Electric products and third-party systems, ensuring secure connectivity, interoperability, and cybersecurity compliance.


* Perform end-to-end testing and support Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) and Integrated Systems Testing (IST), including validation of system performance, communications, and cybersecurity requirements.


* Develop, review, maintain, and submit technical documentation, including Detailed Technical Designs, Functional Designs, Network Diagrams, test records, SAT/IST documentation, and handover packs.


* Review customer electrical distribution networks to identify critical assets, condition monitoring opportunities, and appropriate data points for Digital Services solutions.


* Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across software platforms, networks, gateways, communication protocols, connected assets, and integrated systems.


* Identify and manage technical risks, interfaces, and dependencies, escalating complex issues where required.


* Collaborate with project managers, engineers, customers, field teams, subcontractors, factories, and Connected Services Hub teams to ensure successful project delivery.


* Contribute technical expertise to solution architecture, project planning, tender support, continuous improvement initiatives, and lessons learned activities.
