East Asia Accounting Transformation Lead

This position is for a Accounting Transformation Lead for East Asia, to lead the transformation of accounting operations across the organization by driving process standardization, digitalization, automation, governance enhancements, and organizational change initiatives.

This role will partner with Accounting, Finance, Shared Services and IT stakeholders to improve efficiency, strengthen controls, enhance reporting quality, and support the organization's transformation roadmap.

What will you do?

Transformation Strategy & Execution


* Develop and execute the Accounting Transformation roadmap


* Lead end-to-end transformation initiatives across Record-to-Report (R2R), Procure-to-Pay (P2P), Order-to-Cash (O2C), Fixed Assets, and Close processes.


* Drive simplification, standardization, and harmonization of accounting processes and mapping across countries and entities.


* Establish transformation governance, milestones, KPIs, and benefits tracking.

Digitalization & Automation


* Identify and implement automation opportunities using RPA, AI, workflow tools, and analytics solutions.


* Drive adoption of digital finance tools and technology enablers.


* Partner with IT and Global Process Owners to implement system improvements


* Promote data-driven decision making through dashboards and reporting automation.

Process Excellence & Controls


* Optimize accounting processes while maintaining compliance with IFRS, local statutory requirements, and internal controls.


* Conduct process assessments and redesign activities to improve efficiency and effectiveness.


* Ensure transformation initiatives strengthen governance and risk management frameworks.


* Drive continuous improvement and best-practice sharing across the accounting community.

Change Management


* Lead change initiatives and stakeholder engagement plans.


* Build transformation awareness and foster adoption of new processes and technologies.


* Develop training and communication programs for impacted teams.


* Act as a transformation ambassador within the Accounting organization.

Stakeholder Management


* Collaborate with Finance leadership, Accounting teams, Shared Service Centers, Tax and IT teams.


* Support regional finance transformation programs.

What qualifications will make you successful?

Education


* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related discipline.


* CPA, CA, ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification preferred.


* IFRS certification or advanced accounting qualifications preferred.

Experience


* 10-15 years of progressive experience in Accounting, Finance, Shared Services, or Finance Transformation.


* Proven track record leading large-scale finance or accounting transformation initiatives.


* Experience with ERP platforms such as SAP and Oracle
