Job Description:

This is an opportunity to build a team that will operate at the frontier of cybersecurity, as part of the Junos Cybersecurity R&D organization in the HPE Networking business unit.

The mission of Cybersecurity R&D is to collaborate across functions to build and sustain secure routers, switches, and firewalls running Junos OS and Junos OS Evolved.

The organization spans cybersecurity domains with major responsibilities in the development of system security features, applied cryptography, supporting security certifications, and Secure Development Lifecycle (SDL) practices, including harnessing frontier AI models for vulnerability discovery and remediation.

Responsibilities:

• Builds and leads a team of individual contributors making substantive contributions in security certification readiness, operational EUCRA support, developing security features and test harnesses, and AI-driven defense.

• Exert dynamic leadership in the face of rapidly changing and emergent product security requirements and threats.

• Collaborates closely with peer managers and teams in the planning and execution of cybersecurity projects across geographies.

• Manages headcount, deliverables, schedules, and costs for multiple ongoing projects,

• Communicates project status across stakeholders, with clean escalations when necessary.

• Continually drive process improvement and corresponding cost reduction opportunities.

• Provides people-care management for assigned team members, including hiring, setting and monitoring of annual performance plans, coaching, and career development.

Education and Experience Required:

• First-level university degree or equivalent experience required.

• Typically 5 or more years of related work experience, 1-2 years of people management experience

Knowledge and Skills:

• Broad knowledge and capability to quickly go deep in cybersecurity, networking, network products (routers, switches, firewalls), networking operating systems, and software engineering.

• Agile leadership skills, including coaching, team-building, and conflict resolution.
