Job Summary

This is a ladder progression for an accomplished professional career hydrocarbon scheduler that is acknowledged as a Subject Matter Expert in the job classification of Scheduler.

It reflects the professional pinnacle of an accomplished career in multiple-hydrocarbon scheduling roles at a corporate or functional level, which may include as well, exposure to the areas of marine operations, vessel or barge operations coordination, rail and freight, etc.

The seniority and demonstrated performance on scheduling activities shall make the incumbent a key provider of advice to Management on special related projects, new IT solutions or upgrades, and on the conceptualization and implementation of major logistical solutions across the company.

The incumbent shall serve as a Mentor, Trainer, Advisor, and Back-up, etc.

Oversees scheduling activities and ensures all documentation and databases are updated and in compliance.

Consults with counterparties on transactions in dispute and advises internal commercial contacts on any impacts to their business.

Identifies trends that the commercial team should integrate into their current market view and coaches junior schedulers on trends.

Builds network of internal and external commercial contacts in pipeline and transport operations.

Demonstrates ability to identify transactions that do not meet desired parameters and raise to management.

Assists with more complex transactions.
