The Opportunity
You will serve as a critical operational leader, driving daily door unit assembly and architectural millwork production.
This role empowers you to optimize shop workflows, mentor skilled craftspeople, and elevate quality standards across all production lines.
You will partner directly with cross-functional teams to eliminate bottlenecks and deliver exceptional custom products on schedule.
How You Will Make an Impact:
* Direct daily millwork and door unit production schedules to ensure safety, quality, and output targets are achieved.
* Lead, coach, and evaluate shop personnel while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous skill development.
* Review complex architectural drawings, specifications, and cut lists to guarantee precise assembly of custom door units and trim.
* Collaborate with purchasing, sales, and management teams to resolve material shortages and technical production questions.
* Maintain material inventory, tooling, and shop equipment to prevent operational delays and minimize downtime.
* Execute rigorous quality control checks across all finished products to ensure strict adherence to project specifications.
* Enforce comprehensive shop safety protocols, machine guarding guidelines, and proper equipment operating procedures.
Required Qualifications & Experience
* High school diploma or equivalent.
* Five or more years of experience in millwork, door unit production, architectural millwork, or a related manufacturing environment.
* Minimum of two years of supervisory, lead, or production management experience in a shop setting.
* Advanced proficiency in reading and interpreting shop drawings, cut lists, and architectural documentation.
* Working knowledge of millwork fabrication techniques, woodworking machinery, and production sequencing.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience
* Proven track record of implementing lean manufacturing principles, workflow planning, and waste reduction strategies.
* Demonstrated strength in cross-departmental communication and proactive problem resolution.
