Project Manager – Drive Upscale Commercial Construction Projects for DEI Incorporated

The Opportunity

DEI Incorporated is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead commercial construction projects from preconstruction and bidding through completion and closeout.

The Project Manager will own project budget, schedule, subcontractor coordination, client communication, and overall project performance.

This position requires a strong commercial construction background and the ability to independently manage multiple stakeholders while protecting schedule, profitability, quality, and client satisfaction.

What You’ll Do


* Manage commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.


* Develop and maintain detailed construction schedules.


* Manage project budgets, forecasts, cost reports, and financial performance.


* Lead bidding, buyout, subcontractor selection, and subcontract execution.


* Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, progress billing, and project documentation.


* Lead and coordinate Superintendents and subcontractor partners.


* Review plans, specifications, and construction documents.


* Establish and maintain strong client relationships.


* Identify project risks and take corrective action to protect schedule and budget.


* Present value-engineering and cost-reduction options when appropriate.


* Coordinate project milestones with internal leadership and external stakeholders.


* Travel to project locations as required.

Required Qualifications


* Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or another construction-related field.


* Minimum 5 years of Project Manager experience in commercial construction.


* Demonstrated ability to create and maintain detailed construction schedules.


* Strong project-budget and cost-management experience.


* Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.


* Experience managing subcontractors and project teams.


* Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain client relationships.


* Ability to oversee the full project lifecycle while protecting budget, schedule, quality, and client satisfaction.


* Willingness to travel up to approximately 30%.

Preferred Qualifications


* Experience in a design-build environment.


* Experience with financial-institution, retail, or comparable commercial construction.


* Procore experience.


* Experience leading value-engineering and cost-reduction discussions.


* Experience managing multiple concurrent projects.
