Senior Manager, U.S. Tax

Harris is seeking an experienced Senior Manager, U.S.

Tax to play a critical role within our Global Tax team.

Reporting directly to the Director, U.S.

Tax, this position will serve as a trusted advisor and key partner in managing the Company's U.S.

tax function, including tax compliance, tax accounting, acquisitions, and tax risk management.

WHAT YOU WILL DO


* Oversee U.S.

federal and state corporate income tax compliance, ensuring timely and accurate filing of returns, extensions, and tax payments.


* Review the Company's quarterly and annual U.S.

income tax provision under IFRS, including current and deferred tax calculations and supporting documentation.


* Manage estimated tax payments


* Lead responses to IRS and state tax authority audits and notices


* Develop, maintain, and enhance tax processes, controls, and documentation


* Analyze tax accounting implications of significant transactions and tax positions.


* Partner with Finance and Accounting teams to ensure accurate reporting of tax-related matters.


* Support U.S.

tax planning initiatives, evaluate and model the U.S.

tax implications of strategic business initiatives and transactions.


* Monitor changes in U.S.

tax legislation and assess the impact on the Company's operations.


* Support tax due diligence, acquisition structuring, integration activities, and post-acquisition compliance matters.


* Analyze tax risks and planning opportunities associated with acquisitions and reorganizations.


* Manage, mentor, and develop members of the U.S.

tax team.


* Help establish priorities, allocate work, and ensure high-quality execution across compliance, reporting and special projects.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR


* CPA designation, Master of Taxation, or equivalent professional qualification strongly preferred.


* 10+ years of progressive U.S.

corporate income tax experience, including experience within a large multinational public company and/or a Big Four accounting firm.


* Strong technical knowledge of U.S.

federal and state corporate income tax rules and regulations.


* Experience with U.S.

tax accounting and income tax provisions under IFRS and/or ASC 740.


* Strong U.S.

tax research, technical analysis, and problem-solving capabilities.


* Experience managing tax audits and interactions with taxing authorities.


* Ability to work independently, prioritize competing demands, and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.


* Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.


* Proficiency with tax technology and compliance software, including OneSource.
