About the Role
Reporting to the Reliability Superintendent, you will play a key leadership role in supporting equipment reliability, electrical compliance, asset performance and continuous improvement across our manufacturing operations.
As the site discipline lead for electrical engineering, you will provide technical direction, lead engineering initiatives and work closely with operational, maintenance and project teams to optimise plant performance and reliability.
You will combine technical expertise, leadership and innovation to deliver engineering solutions that improve safety, reliability, productivity and operational excellence in a complex industrial environment.
Key responsibilities include:
* Providing technical leadership and engineering support to improve equipment reliability, integrity and performance across the site.
* Acting as the site electrical engineering discipline lead, including ownership, interpretation and application of electrical standards and regulatory requirements.
* Leading and coaching a multi-disciplinary reliability engineering team to deliver high-quality technical support and business outcomes.
* Identifying, investigating and implementing reliability and improvement opportunities through data analysis, defect elimination and root cause investigations.
* Supporting capital projects and improvement initiatives through the application of Alcoa Business System (ABS) principles and engineering best practice.
* Driving continuous improvement, cost reduction and asset utilisation initiatives that enhance operational performance and equipment reliability.

You are an experienced electrical engineering professional who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, developing engineering capability and driving operational improvement.
You thrive in a collaborative industrial environment and are passionate about safety, innovation and reliability excellence and possess;
* Degree qualifications in Electrical Engineering, with eligibility for Engineers Australia membership.
* Extensive experience in electrical engineering within a heavy industrial, manufacturing, processing, mining or smelting environment.
* Demonstrated experience leading, supervising and coaching engineering or technical teams.
