Major Equipment Procurement/Thermal Process Engineer 2

Position Overview BLOC Resources is seeking an experienced Major Equipment Procurement / Thermal Process Engineer 2 to support Southern Company at its Waynesboro, Georgia location.

This position will provide specialized mechanical and thermal engineering support for power generation projects involving simple-cycle and combined-cycle plants, major rotating equipment, heat-transfer equipment, plant performance, equipment procurement, and new and retrofit projects.

The successful candidate will perform thermal analyses, develop heat and mass balances, size major equipment, prepare engineering reports and technical specifications, and utilize industry-standard heat-balance software to evaluate plant and equipment performance.

The engineer will also provide field engineering support, including troubleshooting equipment under warranty and supporting the startup and commissioning of new equipment at plant sites.

The position requires approximately 25% travel.
