U.S. Private Bank - Lending Professional - Analyst
Lending Professionals partner with clients to align credit needs with the bank's lending solutions, taking a strategic, long-term approach that supports clients across market cycles.
The role works closely with Lending Advisors, Credit, and internal/external stakeholders to originate, fund, and maintain a diverse portfolio of credit facilities while proactively managing risk and ensuring an excellent client experience.
Key Responsibilities
* Own day-to-day management of an existing loan portfolio, balancing portfolio maintenance and new business priorities.
* Lead portfolio review meetings and coordinate workflow across Lending Advisors and Credit partners.
* Manage deal execution and loan funding in partnership with clients, Middle Office teams, and third parties (e.g., family office reps, notaries, couriers, borrower's counsel).
* Identify, prioritize, and resolve risk exceptions (e.g., covenant issues, delinquencies, missing legal documents) to protect portfolio health and profitability.
* Navigate product-specific requirements across lending solutions (e.g., securities-based, private/restricted stock, CRE, life insurance, art, aircraft) through credit, risk, and legal processes.
* Monitor portfolio health, address billing inquiries, and lead escalations with Client Service Groups on credit-related service issues.
* Oversee loan document quality control with internal/external counsel to ensure documentation reflects deal terms.
* Support business initiatives tied to regulatory, legal, and industry changes; ensure compliance with evolving requirements.
* Analyze client financials for new loan requests and to resolve portfolio liquidity exceptions.
* Coordinate renewals, modifications, and ongoing maintenance of credit facilities.
* Support research requests and reporting needs in partnership with the Lending Advisor.
Qualifications
* 2+ years of Wealth Management experience preferred.
* Knowledge of loan documentation and closing processes; CRE transaction coordination a plus.
* Proactive, self-directed, and comfortable executing with limited supervision under tight deadlines.
* Strong judgment and discretion handling highly confidential information.
* Excellent organizational skills with proven ability to manage multiple priorities.
* Strong client relationship and sales management capabilities.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe PDF.
