Medical Assistant (Certified)-Clinical

As a Certified Medical Assistant, you serve as the primary link between patients and our clinical team.

Job Duties and Responsibilities Performs accurate vital signs measurement to give physicians a reliable baseline for patient health assessments.Conducts patient triage efficiently to prioritize care based on urgency and clinical need.Administers injections and immunizations safely while educating patients on expected outcomes and potential side effects.Performs phlebotomy and venipuncture with precision to collect laboratory specimens with minimal patient discomfort.Executes electrocardiograms (ECG/EKG) correctly to support the early detection of cardiovascular issues.Maintains strict sterilization and aseptic technique across all instruments and exam rooms to prevent infection.Manages electronic health records (EHR) diligently to keep patient histories current, accurate, and secure.Applies expert medical terminology in daily communication with physicians, nurses, and administrative staff.Responds swiftly to medical emergencies by utilizing CPR and first aid protocols to stabilize patients until advanced help arrives.

Required Qualifications Education Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program.Active certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA).

Experience Minimum of one year of hands-on clinical experience in an outpatient or ambulatory care setting.Demonstrated history of managing patient flow and direct clinical support.

Knowledge/Skills Proficiency in vital signs measurement, phlebotomy, and venipuncture.Strong capability in performing electrocardiograms (ECG/EKG) and administering injections and immunizations.Expertise in patient triage and emergency response using CPR and first aid.Working knowledge of electronic health records (EHR) systems and medical terminology.Understanding of sterilization and aseptic technique protocols.Exceptional communication skills for interacting with diverse patient populations.

Preferred Qualifications Bilingual fluency in English and an additional local language.Experience with specialized pediatric or geriatric patient care.

Physical Requirements/Work Conditions Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during clinical shifts.Strength to lift and support patients or medical supplies up to twenty-five pounds.Comfort working in a fast-paced medical environment with exposure to communicable diseases and bodily fluids under standard safety protocols.
