What You Will Do
Some core responsibilities for a Torque Technician include:
* Torque Tech is responsible for executing technical bolting and joint integrity services in accordance with approved site and company procedures.
* Must know how to operate calibrated tools, including torque wrenches and pneumatic and hydraulic torquing equipment.
Must be able to calibrate pneumatic and hydraulic torquing equipment to the desired torque and pressure.
* Able to identify and use all tools and equipment necessary to perform assigned work.
* Able to properly bolt up flanges using correct materials as indicated on the BOM.
* Able to identify when a flange connection is not properly installed, hi/lo, wrong gasket, or bolts.

* Follow OPD and client safety policies and procedures
* Be aware of changing conditions on an active jobsite
* Be on time to the jobsite each day, ready for work

* High attention to detail to avoid reworks and errors
Some physical demands of being a Torque Technician include:
* Able to work in outdoor weather and environmental conditions, including extreme heat and humidity, extreme cold, and high elevations.
* Lifting and carrying awkward objects up to 60 lbs
* Standing for extended periods of time up to 11 hours per day.
* Moving the entire body.
Considerable use of arms, legs, climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, crawling, twisting, reaching, and bending on a regular basis.
* Must be able to work on elevated platforms and maintain balance when stepping on narrow platforms such as beams and pipes.
Must be able to perform these activities while wearing an approved full-body harness and lanyard.
