Highlands Oncology Group is seeking a Radiation Therapy Assistant to join our Radiation Oncology team.

In this role, you'll work directly alongside physicians, advanced practitioners, nurses, and radiation therapists to deliver coordinated, high-quality care to cancer patients throughout their treatment journey.

Job Summary: Therapy Assistants in Radiation Oncology and Imaging work directly with physicians, advanced practitioners, nurses, radiation therapists, and team to deliver quality patient care with coordinated communication and assessments.

Entry level position up to 2 years of experience.

Basic knowledge of patient care requirements.

Advance to Radiation Therapy Assistant II with oncology experience and competencies specific to radiation therapy procedure requirements.

Job Duties / Responsibilities: Room patients for new consultation, weekly, or follow-up visit - obtain vital signs and perform limited assessments.

Perform daily inspections to maintain oxygen supply and patient monitoring equipment.

Accurately chart patients' allergies, medications, histories into patient's electronic medical record.

Must be able to work in multiple EMR systems: ARIA and Onco.

Complies with MIPS requirements and HIPAA rules and regulations of patient confidentiality.

Organizes exam and treatment rooms with necessary supplies, linens, and instruments with daily checks.

Cleans exam rooms and equipment between procedures and thoroughly twice a week.
