Turf and Ornamental Technician

POSITION:Turfand OrnamentalTechnician DIVISION:Commercial (COM) REPORTS TO:Production Manager, Turfand Ornamental FLSA STATUS:Non-Exempt ABOUT THE ROLE The Turf Technicianis responsible forthe care, maintenance, and overall health of turf areas, ensuring theyremainsafe, attractive, and functional.

This role involves performing a wide variety of tasks, including mowing, fertilizing, aerating, and pest/disease management.

The Turf Technician works closely with the grounds team to support high-quality turf conditions that meet industry and client standards.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Perform turf maintenance activities such as mowing, edging, aerating, fertilizing, topdressing, and overseeding.

Monitor turf health anddiagnoseissuesrelated to weeds, pests, diseases, or irrigation.

Apply fertilizers, herbicides, and pesticides safely and in compliance with regulations.

Operate andmaintainturf equipment, ensuring proper calibration and safe use.

Assistas needed with landscape maintenance dutiesincluding mowing, trimming, weeding, equipment operation, plant care, and safety compliancewhilemaintainingprofessionalism and quality standards under supervision.

Maintainaccuraterecords of applications, maintenance schedules, and equipment usage.

Communicate effectively withProduction Managers, clients, and team membersregardingturf conditions and recommendations for improvement.

Follow all safety procedures and ensure compliance with company, state, and federal guidelines.

ABOUT YOU Qualifications Experience in turf care, landscaping, orgroundsmaintenance.

Knowledge of turfgrass species, pests, diseases, and proper cultural practices.

Ability to safelyoperateturf equipment (mowers, spreaders, sprayers, aerators, etc.).

Pesticide applicator license or ability to obtain preferred.
