Sr Director Global Business Development

THE OPPORTUNITY This position is responsible for managing a portfolio of relationships between the LPGA and its official marketing partners, utilizing comprehensive knowledge of the golf industry.

In addition, this position will be responsible for generating new business, new Title sponsors and official marketing partners for the LPGA and sell assets across the entire LPGA portfolio of brands and properties.

WHAT YOU'LL DO Prospect, strategize and identify potential new LPGA partners.

Develop presentations and pitch prospects, taking them through the LPGA process and ultimately closing new business.Program ideation using tournament & media knowledge to develop elements that will be successful for the partner and achieve budget objectives.Work internally with all applicable departments within the LPGA (Legal, TBA, Communications, Media, Foundation etc.) to ensure collective and collaborative approach is taken in dealing with new partner needs and seamless contract execution.Properly demonstrate the value proposition of the LPGA in consultation with Director of Research with detailed presentations/proposals.Manage individual P&Ls for each proposal ensuring accurate reporting and tracking of expenses and revenues while ensuring growth objectives of both the LPGA and new Partners are met.Manage the contract process with new business partners working closely with Legal adhering to already established guidelines and procedures.Assist in yearly budget responsibilities of the department and help manage media inventory.Assist colleagues with partner renewal process to ensure partner and LPGA meet business objectives and successfully continue relationships.Participate in special projects and assignments as requested.

WHO YOU ARE Comprehensive knowledge of the golf industry including tournaments with track record of developing relationships and achieving partner objectivesBachelors degree requiredFive to ten years of experience, previous sponsorship management experience in the sports industry is highly desirable and specifically professional golf event managementThree to five years sales experience putting together successful sponsorship programs and delivering on objectivesStrong communication and interpersonal skillsStrong organizational and time management skillsProficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPointKnowledge of sponsorship research tools a plusSome travel required (25%)
