Certification Specialist
Managing Matters - an Association Headquarters company is seeking a Certification Specialist to join our team.
The Certification Program Specialist provides day-to-day administration of a professional certification and continuing education program, supporting applicants, credential holders, volunteer committees, and program vendors throughout the certification, recertification, and examination lifecycle.

Certification & Recertification Administration: Administer the annual certification application and eligibility review process, including completeness checks, credential/requirement verification, applicant follow-up, routing to review committees, and record maintenance Administer a multi-year recertification cycle, including application review, completeness checks, assessment grading, deficiency follow-up, and record updates Provide routine support for certification and recertification inquiries, including application status, account access, and payment/process questions Coordinate recurring candidate communications, reminders, status notices, FAQs, and website updates tied to the credentialing cycleMaintain established certification policies, procedures, and operating documentation Examination Administration: Administer the annual exam development and delivery cycle, including question-bank administration, preparation and distribution of items for volunteer review, compilation of exams, and implementation of committee-approved edits Coordinate with testing vendors and psychometric consultants on exam logistics, grading, and itemanalysis Communicate exam results to candidates and update question statistics and item-bank records post-exam Provide routine administration of credentialing platforms, including candidate records, reporting, workflow administration, user access, and vendor support requests Coordinate the annual testing calendar and secure/confirm testing sites based on programrequirements Open registration, process registrations and payments, send confirmations, and manage waitlists Prepare rosters, communicate updates to relevant committees, and distribute candidate packets andmaterials Provide high-priority phone and email support for registration, deadlines, policies, and results questions Maintain current and historical score records and produce/distribute results letters Create and issue certificates to candidates confirmed as meeting requirements Provide ongoing administrative coordination with credentialing committees on schedules, rosters, and recurring program issues Receive and retain physical test materials in accordance with established retention requirements Continuing Education & Meeting Support: Maintain recurring administrative forms, FAQs, templates, and operating documentatio...
