Accounting Manager

Position Summary The Accounting Manager oversees the daily operations of the accounting department, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, account reconciliation, and compliance with internal controls and GAAP.

This role supervises accounting staff, supports month-end processes, and assists with budgeting and forecasting.

The accounting manager also collaborates cross-functionally to streamline processes and improve financial efficiency.

Principle Responsibilities Lead and execute the month-end close process and preparation of financial Statements Oversee and reconcile all balance sheet accounts and investigate and resolve variances Drive the annual budgeting process and produce periodic forecasts Lead and manage the accounts payable team Review sales tax returns and compile supporting schedules for annual income taxes Ad-Hoc analysis and special projects Specific Duties include the following: Manage day-to-day accounting operations and procedures Manage numerous aspects of the financial close process, including account reconciliations, analysis, and financial reporting Review invoices and payables for proper classification and ensure payments are made timely Identify and implement process improvements in the financial close and financial reporting processes, leveraging systems and software tools to automate tasks and improve efficiency Lead other team members in analysis, problem solving, and process improvement efforts Prepare the annual budget and collaborate with management and leaders to ensure completion Assist with developing new processes and documenting controls and reporting requirements for new activities as the business grows Complete other projects as assigned Levels of Authority Decision Making: What is the nature of the direct supervision that is provided to the incumbent of this position?
