Wound Closure & Healing and Biosurgery (WCHB), a member of the Johnson & Johnson MedTech Surgery organization.
The MedTech organization offers a broad range of products, platforms, and technologies, including sutures, topical skin adhesives, hemostasis products, surgical staplers, trocars, energy devices, and synthetic mesh devices used in a wide variety of minimally invasive and open surgical procedures.
The Wound Closure & Healing and Biosurgery R&D organization in Raritan, NJ, is recruiting a R&D co-op for topical skin adhesive group to work on development of new topical skin adhesives for surgery applications.

Key Responsibilities:
* Perform hands-on laboratory work in chemistry and engineering labs.
* Conduct studies and develop test methods and fixtures.
* Follow good documentation practices, including writing test protocols, generating final reports, and documenting meeting minutes.
* Craft and evaluate prototypes.
* Participate in voice-of-customer (VOC) labs.
* Collaborate with engineers and external suppliers to support project-related activities.
Qualifications
Education:
* Pursuing a bachelor's or master's in Polymer Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related technical field.
Experience and Skills:
Required:
* Be enrolled (not necessarily taking classes) in an accredited college or university during the co-op session.
* Students must have completed at least their freshman year.
* Availability to work full-time (40 hours/week) during the co-op session
* Proficient in lab-based chemistry activities.
* Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and possess strong oral and written communication skills.
* Highly organized with the ability to balance multiple tasks.
