Project Engineer

Key Responsibilities Manage and execute capital and improvement projects from initial concept through design, procurement, construction, and startup.

Develop project scopes, schedules, cost estimates, and technical specifications.

Coordinate with operations, maintenance, and process engineering teams to identify plant improvement opportunities.

Review and approve engineering drawings, equipment specifications, and contractor deliverables.

Support procurement activities including equipment selection, vendor evaluation, and bid reviews.

Monitor project budgets and schedules, providing regular status updates to management.

Ensure projects comply with safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies.

Participate in hazard reviews, risk assessments, and safety reviews (e.g., PHA, HAZOP).

Oversee contractors and construction activities during project execution.

Troubleshoot mechanical and process equipment issues related to project installations.

Develop and maintain project documentation including reports, drawings, and operating procedures.

Support plant commissioning, startup, and performance verification of new systems.

Working Conditions Work is performed in both office and industrial plant environments.

Frequent field work requiring use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

Ability to climb ladders, walk long distances, and work in varying weather conditions.

Occasional work during plant shutdowns or extended hours may be required.
