Workers' Compensation Underwriting Assistant - COU Processing Center, Philadelphia, PA
Position Summary
The Workers' Compensation Underwriting Assistant supports the Global Casualty Major Complex business unit by providing timely and accurate policy servicing and underwriting support.
All activities processed by the Processing Center are completed in accordance with instructions submitted by Field UA Branches.
This role is responsible for registration, policy issuance, and post-bind processing activities, as well as maintaining accurate premium records and tracking information.
The position partners with branch offices and internal teams to gather information, resolve inquiries, and ensure policy transactions are completed efficiently and in accordance with service standards.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
* Provide high-quality policy servicing and underwriting support to the Global Casualty Major Complex business unit.
* Complete registration, policy issuance, and post-bind transactions accurately and within required timeframes.
* Ensure premiums are registered correctly and reflected accurately in the policy processing system.
* Identify and use appropriate systems and company forms/endorsements to complete and submit policies to internal and external stakeholders.
* Communicate with branch offices to obtain information and verify policy details.
* Maintain or exceed service standards related to production, service, support, and customer service.
* Monitor work queue items and take appropriate action to ensure timely processing of requests and responses.
* Identify and communicate system-related issues to the appropriate teams.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Requirements
* 3-5 years of experience in Workers' Compensation or commercial casualty underwriting support preferred.
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, time-sensitive, high-volume environment.
* Strong data entry and computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Windows 10.
* Demonstrated accountability for assigned work and production output.
* Commitment to quality and accuracy.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.

* Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
* High attention to detail with a focus on accuracy.
* Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities.
