About iteach iteach is a competency-based educator preparation program helping to fill the void the nation faces with the unprecedented teacher shortage.

iteach offers state-approved educator preparation programs in multiple states, enabling recent graduates, career changers, paraprofessionals, substitute teachers, and others to earn their educator licensure through an affordable, flexible, and fully online pathway.

Notably, iteach was the first educator preparation program outside of an institution of higher education to earn accreditation from the Council for Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP).

Employment Type: Part-Time Variable Less than 20 hours per week, with variable hours depending on seasonal demand Non-Exempt Hourly Location: Remote.

Candidates must reside in Alabama or North Carolina due to assignment requirements.

The Opportunity As an edTPA Coach at iteach, you will play a critical role in guiding and supporting teacher candidates in Alabama and North Carolina as they prepare for the edTPA assessment, a required step for certification in these states.

Every iteach alternative certification candidate, educators enrolled in our program to earn their teaching license, will be assigned an edTPA Coach to provide expert guidance, structured support, and individualized coaching throughout their portfolio preparation.

The EdTPA Coach reports to the Manager, Instruction.

In this role, you will: Help candidates navigate the complexities of edTPA, including artifact creation, submission requirements, and state-specific expectations.

Serve as a subject matter expert, leveraging your experience in teaching, edTPA preparation, and certification requirements.

Provide one-on-one coaching, instructional guidance, and targeted feedback on edTPA portfolio artifacts.

Facilitate peer mentoring and cohort-based learning experiences via Zoom.

Guide candidates through Course 5810 (Pathway to edTPA) and/or Course 5700 (Congratulations, Youre Hired!).
