This role focuses on the precise and safe installation of heavy industrial equipment including robots, conveyors, presses, large-bore piping, and process machinery.

Key Responsibilities



* Supervise field installation of heavy mechanical systems and equipment on industrial construction sites.


* Direct rigging, setting, alignment, and anchoring of machinery such as compressors, pumps, conveyors, and robotic systems.


* Manage and schedule labor including millwrights, welders, pipefitters, and rigging crews.


* Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to meet deadlines and maintain installation standards.


* Interpret mechanical drawings, P&IDs, submittals, and manufacturer installation guides.


* Enforce jobsite safety policies and lead toolbox talks and safety audits.


* Resolve field issues related to alignment, clearance, and system integration.


* Track productivity, maintain daily logs, and prepare look-ahead schedules.


* Participate in system start-ups, commissioning, and turnover procedures.

Qualifications



* Minimum 7+ years of mechanical construction experience, with 3+ years in a supervisory role.


* Proven experience with rigging, machinery alignment, and industrial system installation.


* Knowledge of OSHA regulations, mechanical safety standards, and hazard mitigation practices.


* Ability to read and interpret mechanical plans, equipment layout drawings, and installation instructions.


* Experience working in high-volume environments such as manufacturing plants, utilities, or refineries.


* Familiar with field software like Procore, Bluebeam, or MS Project.


* Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
