Position Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our rehabilitation team on a PRN basis.

Working under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist, you will assist residents in improving function, increasing independence, and enhancing quality of life through individualized occupational therapy treatment plans.
Key Responsibilities


* Provide occupational therapy treatments as directed by the supervising Occupational Therapist


* Assist residents in improving performance with activities of daily living (ADLs)


* Implement treatment plans and therapeutic interventions designed to improve functional independence


* Monitor resident progress and communicate updates to the Occupational Therapist


* Document treatments, resident responses, and progress accurately and timely


* Assist with discharge planning and caregiver education


* Maintain a safe, clean, and organized therapy environment


* Collaborate with nursing staff, therapy team members, physicians, residents, and families


* Participate in care plan meetings and interdisciplinary team discussions as appropriate


* Follow all facility policies, state regulations, and professional practice standards

Qualifications
Education & Experience


* Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program


* Experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting preferred


* Experience with PointClickCare (PCC) and Casamba preferred


* Ability to quickly learn facility software and documentation systems


* Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Licenses & Certifications


* Current Occupational Therapy Assistant license/certification in South Carolina


* Must maintain all required continuing education requirements


* Must remain in good standing with the applicable State Board
