You will play a pivotal role in driving preconstruction success by leading commercial wet utility estimating across the DFW Metroplex.

How You Will Make an Impact


* Prepare precise commercial estimates for storm, water, and sewer utility projects using specialized bidding platforms.


* Analyze civil blueprints, project specifications, and scope requirements to build competitive, highly accurate project bids.


* Perform detailed quantity takeoffs and utility plan reviews using tools such as PlanSwift and HCSS Heavy Bid.


* Collaborate with general contractors, project owners, and internal operations to ensure clear communication throughout the bidding process.


* Partner with accounting and purchasing departments to prepare detailed project budgets and secure competitive pre-bid material quotes.


* Facilitate seamless preconstruction planning and handoffs to the project management team upon award.


* Process, track, and maintain accurate documentation for project change orders and official project correspondence.

Required Qualifications & Experience


* Minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial utility estimating, specifically focused on storm, water, and sewer systems.


* Proven track record of independently facilitating the complete bidding process for commercial wet utility projects.


* Demonstrated ability to read and analyze complex civil blueprints, technical specifications, and site development plans.


* Proficiency using online bidding platforms (such as IsqFt, BuildingConnected, Procore, or SmartBid) and standard Microsoft Office applications.


* Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build professional relationships with general contractors, clients, and internal teams.


* Hands-on proficiency with specialized estimating software including PlanSwift, Microsoft Project, and HCSS Heavy Bid.


* Personable and responsive, with strong follow-up skills to help close projects and keep bidding communication moving on time.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience


* Active Responsible Managing Employee – Underground (RME-U) or Responsible Master Plumber (RMP) license.
