ABOUT THE ROLE As an Irrigation Service Technician, your primary duties will be to perform irrigation service work, troubleshoot systems and identify the need for repairs.
You will also make recommendations for improving system efficiency and professionally communicating with customers.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Accurately analyze and diagnose problems related to irrigation systems Prioritize, schedule, and perform irrigation service work including service checks, start-ups, winterizations, and repairs.
Efficiently communicate with customers in about their irrigation systems Ensure service truck is clean and organized, properly stocked with inventory and tools Ensure routing efficiency Retain a basic knowledge of horticulture and maintain a relationship with account managers to understand the water requirements of different turf and ornamental species.
Develop and maintain status as a Subject Matter Expert in the irrigation field Identify new sales opportunities Keep certifications current and seek out continuing education opportunities.
Respond to afterhours and weekend emergencies.
Maintain a professional appearance.
Maintain a clean driving record.
Drive the company vehicle in a safe and competent manner, following company safety policies and local, state, and federal laws and regulations for the operating of such vehicle.
Be able to operate equipment in a safe and competent manner and in accordance with all local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
