Environmental Scientist

Barton & Loguidice, D.P.C., a multi-disciplined consulting engineering firm of professional engineers, geologists, environmental scientists, architects, and planners, is seeking a detail-oriented, dependable, and self-motivated Environmental Scientist for a full-time position in our Albany, NY office.

We are looking for a self-starter who takes initiative, learns quickly, and is comfortable taking ownership of assignments.

The ideal candidate is someone who can assess a task and independently determine the next steps to move a project forward.

The position includes a combination of field work and office work supporting a wide variety of environmental consulting projects.

Responsibilities may include: Environmental monitoring, sampling, and field investigations.Collection of water, soil, air, and other environmental samples for laboratory analysis.

Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments.Preparation and implementation of remedial investigation and remedial action plans.Oversight and documentation of environmental remediation and construction activities.Environmental permitting and regulatory compliance assistance.Coordination with clients, contractors, laboratories, and regulatory agencies.Evaluation, organization, and interpretation of environmental data.Preparation of technical reports, correspondence, figures, tables, and other project documentation.Other environmental consulting and project support activities as needed.

The successful candidate will be able to manage multiple assignments, communicate effectively, and work both independently and as part of a team.
