Job Summary

The Purchasing Assistant will assist various departments in purchasing needed supplies, verifying when received, and be the primary contact with vendors and support our inventory process.

Job Responsibilities



* Order supplies for individual departments and maintains purchase requirements


* Oversee all outside vendor services


* Researches and answer vendor issues when purchase orders have discrepancies


* Ensure all deliveries are properly received and posted in company ERP system


* Work with accounting and plant management on inventory counts done monthly or quarterly


* May backup other departments and locations as needed


* Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements



* High school diploma / equivalent required


* Strong computer skills in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook


* Good written and verbal skills


* Good organizational skills


* Ability to communicate well with coworkers and customers

Compensation



* The hourly pay is $25-$30/hr
