Test Engineer

Your Job

Molex is seeking a Test Engineer to support the development, validation, and qualification of advanced interconnect, cable assembly, and electronic solutions.

This role will be responsible for designing and executing test plans, developing test fixtures and methods, analyzing results, and collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure product performance, reliability, and compliance with customer and industry requirements.

The Test Engineer will play a critical role in supporting new product development, manufacturing readiness, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Our Team

You will join the ADS Engineering team, partnering closely with Product Design, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Reliability, and Operations teams.

The team focuses on delivering innovative solutions while ensuring products meet performance, quality, and customer expectations through robust testing and validation processes.

What You Will Do

• Develop and execute product verification and validation test plans for new and existing products.

• Design, build, and maintain test fixtures, equipment setups, and automated test systems.

• Develop and validate electrical test methods for cable harnesses and assemblies, including continuity, resistance, insulation resistance, dielectric withstand voltage (DWV/Hi-Pot), and ESD testing, in accordance with customer, industry, and internal specifications.

• Analyze test data and provide clear technical reports, recommendations, and corrective actions.

• Collaborate with product development teams to troubleshoot design and manufacturing issues.

• Develop, revise, and maintain test procedures, work instructions, and test department documentation.

• Support qualification activities including DVP&R execution, test reporting, and design reviews.

• Investigate product failures, conduct root cause analysis, and recommend corrective actions.

• Ensure test department and manufacturing test equipment is properly maintained, calibrated, validated, and operating effectively.

• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on test efficiency, automation, quality, and cost reduction.

• Support customer inquiries, audits, and technical reviews as needed.

• Maintain compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.

Who You Are

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related technical field.

• 2+ years of experience in product testing, validation, reliability, quality, or related engineering functions.

• Experience using electrical test equipment such as Cirris cable and harness testers, dielectric withstand voltage (DWV/Hi-Pot) and insulation-resistance testers, ohmmeters, digital multimeters (DMMs), LCR meters, oscilloscopes, programmable power supplies, electronic loads, data acquisition systems, ESD test and monitoring equipment, and automate...
