Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dependable Maintenance Director to oversee the daily operations of our Maintenance Department.

This leadership role is responsible for ensuring the facility remains safe, functional, compliant, and comfortable for residents, visitors, and staff while maintaining regulatory standards and overseeing department personnel.

Key Responsibilities


* Plan, organize, implement, and oversee all maintenance department operations


* Develop and maintain maintenance policies, procedures, and preventive maintenance schedules


* Coordinate maintenance services with nursing, dietary, housekeeping, activities, and other departments


* Supervise maintenance personnel and evaluate department performance


* Conduct daily and weekly facility inspections to identify and address maintenance needs


* Oversee building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, generators, boilers, and related equipment


* Ensure outside vendors and contractors complete work according to contracts and work orders


* Participate in regulatory surveys and inspections


* Develop and implement corrective action plans for maintenance-related deficiencies


* Oversee facility safety, fire prevention, emergency preparedness, and life safety programs


* Ensure compliance with OSHA, infection control, and safety regulations


* Maintain and monitor SDS/MSDS documentation and hazardous material storage


* Train maintenance staff on safety procedures and equipment operation


* Monitor department expenses and assist with budgeting and cost control


* Maintain accurate maintenance records, inspections, and departmental reports


* Respond to emergency situations and facility needs as they arise


* Ensure confidential resident information is protected at all times


* Ensure proper disposal of medical and hazardous waste according to facility policies
