Position Summary

Texas Materials is seeking a safety-focused and dependable CDL Driver to transport construction materials, equipment, and supplies to and from company facilities, jobsites, and customer locations.

The CDL Driver plays a critical role in supporting our operations by ensuring timely deliveries, maintaining equipment, and upholding the highest standards of safety, professionalism, and customer service.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities


* Safely operate commercial vehicles, including dump trucks, tractor-trailers, water trucks, or other assigned equipment.


* Transport aggregates, asphalt, construction materials, and related products to jobsites and customer locations.


* Conduct pre-trip, post-trip, and daily vehicle inspections to ensure equipment is in safe operating condition.


* Comply with all DOT, FMCSA, OSHA, company, and customer safety regulations and policies.


* Complete driver logs, inspection reports, delivery tickets, and other required documentation accurately and timely.


* Secure loads and verify cargo is properly loaded and transported according to regulations.


* Communicate effectively with dispatch, supervisors, and jobsite personnel regarding schedules, deliveries, and operational needs.


* Report vehicle defects, maintenance requirements, accidents, incidents, or safety concerns immediately.


* Assist with loading, unloading, and other operational tasks as needed.


* Maintain a clean and professional appearance of vehicles and equipment.


* Provide excellent customer service while representing Texas Materials in a professional manner.


* Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Required


* Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL), depending on equipment assignment.


* Current DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate.


* Acceptable driving record and ability to meet company and insurance requirements.


* Knowledge of DOT regulations and safe driving practices.


* Ability to work flexible schedules, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and overtime as needed.


* Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.

Preferred


* Previous experience in construction, asphalt, aggregate, or heavy materials transportation.


* Endorsements as required by business needs.


* Experience operating dump trucks, lowboys, tankers, or other specialized construction equipment.
